There are so many different species of arachnid & praying mantis that I could not possibly cover all of their housing needs in this section.
However there are a couple of important things to remember when buying housing in this section,is your arachnid arboreal or terrestrial, knowing this will help you decide upon a vertical or horizontal style of enclosure.
However all praying mantis are arboreal so a vertical is the preferred choice of housing
The other thing to remember is that most spiders are ambush predators, this means they wait until an item of prey walks past them,so the same thing applies to housing arachnids, as it does with praying mantis, and that is, you grow the enclosure with the spider, this makes it easier for the predator to catch it's prey.
Now most of the enclosures in this section are aimed at slings (young spiders) or juveniles the exception is wolf or jumping spiders for example, as for praying mantis then these type of mini vivariums would be suitable for all mantis whilst young, however all but the smaller flower & ant mantis would require re housing as they grow
